The Office of Small Business Programs' (OSBP) Small Business Advocates Awards (SBAA) and Small Business Industry Awards (SBIA) are presented annually to NASA employees and NASA contractors; respectively, who make significant contributions to the agency's small business program. The awards recognize successful and innovative practices that promote small business participation in the initiatives that NASA undertakes.
OSBP is pleased to invite nominations for the SBAA and SBIA programs. Individuals and/or teams, and companies for the SBAA must be nominated by a NASA employee in order to be eligible for an award. Nominations for the SBIA must be made by individual NASA centers. Self nominations will not be accepted.
SBAA nominations must be made under one of four (4) general categories: Small Business Specialist of the Year; Procurement Person (or Team) of the Year; Technical Person (or Team) of the Year; or Program Person (or Team) of the Year. SBIA nominations must be made under one of three (3) categories: Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year; Small Business Subcontractor of the Year; or Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year .
The 2009 NASA Small Business Awards will be presented at the 2nd Annual NASA/JPL Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony, November 16 and 17, 2009 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center at 5701 Marinelli Road, Bethesda, MD 20852. |
